Health equity grows from local knowledge, trusted relationships, and care that lasts.

Naturopaths Without Borders works to close the global health equity gap by building the capacity of underserved communities and service organizations through training, education, direct care, and sustainable resources.

Our volunteers learn alongside local partners. We focus on continuity, practical education, and community needs—not one-time intervention.

Mexico program

NWB has worked in the Puerto Peñasco area since 2006 and began its longstanding partnership with New Birth Mexican Mission in 2010. Today, volunteer teams continue regular clinics and service-learning trips in collaboration with the community.

Founded by students

NWB began at what is now Sonoran University of Health Sciences.

2006

Work begins in Sonora

Early service trips established relationships in the Puerto Peñasco area.

2011

Nonprofit established

NWB Global became a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

The work continues

Recurring Mexico trips welcome volunteers from many backgrounds and skill levels.

History documented by Sonoran University and the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland.

Dr. Sean Hesler, ND

A naturopathic physician, educator, and global-health leader. Dr. Hesler’s work has included community medicine in Arizona, Mexico, and Haiti, where he helped open and operate the MamaBaby Haiti birth center.
