NWB’s newest long-term project is to build the capacity of Where There Is No Doctor in the northern hill tribes of Thailand. Dr. David Mar Naw is a solo practitioner in charge of providing healthcare for 43 village clusters of displaced people with no other access to healthcare or sanitation. Beginning with a needs assessment including determining the feasibility of training and sustaining Community Health Workers, NWB’s work focuses on supporting these communities through the most advanced version of the NWB Model: Naturopathic care, partnership, and augmenting local resources through education and sanitation.
Led by Dr. Beth Livengood, the project launches in September 2017. Help us with your healthcare, public health skills and other skills – all are welcome to apply!
